Supporting Animal Care Professionals From Individual Healing to Organizational Transformation
Trauma-informed services designed for the unique challenges of veterinary medicine, animal sheltering, and all fields where the human-animal bond is central. All of Fortifyu’s offerings are rooted in the "Force-Free with Human and Non-Human Animals Alike" and "Extremely Human Animal Care" philosophy and represent my belief that in animal care we can be
Strong in Values. Strong Enough to Be Kind.
Organizational Consulting Services
Help your organization build sustainable cultures where compassion doesn't collapse. Drawing on force-free principles, trauma-informed leadership, and moral injury prevention frameworks, I work with veterinary practices, animal shelters, and animal welfare organizations to transform their approach to animal care and help teams to become Unashamedly Force-Free with Human and Non-Human Animals alike. This is Extremely Human Animal Care.
Force-Free Leadership & Culture Transformation
Consultation services:
Assess organizational risk factors for moral injury and turnover
Develop force-free leadership training for management teams
Create trauma-informed policies and protocols
Design debriefing structures for high-stress incidents
Build peer support networks and psychological safety
Implement anti-bullying and conflict resolution systems
Measure impact through retention and staff satisfaction data
Wellness Retreats
Multi-day retreat experiences designed specifically for animal care workers. Retreats combine trauma processing, moral injury education, somatic healing practices, and deep community connection. These aren't typical "wellness retreats" with yoga and smoothies (though we might include those). These are intensive, trauma-informed experiences that honor the depth and complexity of animal care work.
Immersive Healing for Animal Care Professionals
Retreats integrate:
Moral injury psychoeducation and processing
Somatic approaches to releasing stored trauma
Grief rituals for cumulative losses
Ethical decision-making under scarcity frameworks
Peer support and community building
Nature-based healing practices
